In this video I introduce slope as vertical change/horizontal change. I show how to calculate slope from a graph and a pair of ordered pairs using a slope table. I demonstrate the most common mistakes when calculating slope. I discuss slope of horizontal and vertical lines and what happens to slope as a line approaches the vertical.

I discuss slope of all types including horizontal and vertical lines. I show how to calculate slope from a graph and given 2 points. I then discuss slope intercept form of a line, y = mx + b, which applies to all but vertical lines, which I also discuss. I show how to find the equation of a line from a graph and when given 2 points.
